15th century Florence, the Italian Renaissance. Under the influence of humanist ideas, which aimed to elevate the human soul, a new artistic style was born. It took as its model and sought to represent Nature, both visible and sensible. This new vision was coupled with essential technical innovations: the inclusion of perspective and the quest for perfect, harmonious proportions. Leonardo Da Vinci developed sfumato, the fading of colors that gives the subject an elusive outline and a smooth texture. The movements of the body call forth the movements of the soul... This work on harmony, on the perfect proportion, notes blending and melting with fluidity, this search for harmony, is also that of the perfumer.

AT THE HEART OF THE COMPOSITION
Starting subtly fruity - with ambrette - iris reveals its legendary powdery, velvety finesse. Saffron and styrax create a soft leather sheath, accompanied by a vanilla and tonka bean duo. Patchouli is very important in the formula but is olfactively rather discreet, providing a woody fading to maintain the perfume's balance and proportions.
